POSITION SUMMARY:

In this position, you will be responsible for hiring, training, managing, and reviewing Hospitality Department team members, handling sales and revenue goals, listing management, and new home onboarding tasks. This position is a part of Bluewater’s Leadership Team, and you will be able to learn and grow professionally and have direct input into the direction and initiatives put forth to continue our growth path.

Manage and motivate the Hospitality Team. Ensure Bluewater achieves budgeted revenue goals. Recruit, train, and review staff regularly. Maintain listings, build relationships, and stay up to date with OTA tasks associated with onboarding new homes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • HR & Training: Hire, onboard, and train new employees; manage ongoing employee development and support.
  • Guest Services: Oversee guest journey & communication, resolve issues, ensure satisfaction, and manage pre-arrival and post-stay processes.
  • Sales & Reservations: Handle inquiries, secure bookings, screen guests, and manage reservation changes and cancellations.
  • Listing & OTA Management: Create, update, and optimize listings across OTAs; ensure compliance with platform requirements and partner status.
  • New Property Onboarding: Coordinate listing setup, guest guides, staff walk-throughs, and track onboarding progress.
  • Operational Systems & Processes: Implement and maintain internal systems (CRM, PMS); improve workflows and document SOPs.
  • Internal Communication: Manage communication tools and ensure cohesive messaging across platforms and departments.
  • Reputation & Review Management: Monitor, respond to, and track guest reviews on all platforms to maintain a strong online presence.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities, adapt processes, and align company goals.
  • Homeowner Relations: Communicate with homeowners regarding rates, booking activity, and reservation details.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, vacation rental, or property management, with a strong background in guest services and operational oversight 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including hiring, training, and managing cross-functional teams 
  • Proven track record in sales and reservation management, including guest screening, booking coordination, and maximizing occupancy 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, reservation platforms, and PMS software; ability to implement and optimize internal systems 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle guest inquiries, disputes, and online reviews professionally 
  • Experience managing OTA listings (Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.) and maintaining Superhost or Premier Partner status
  • Must be based in San Diego, California Area, and available to work on-site full time

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

SALARY: $80,000 - 95,000 (base) based upon experience, expertise, achievement, and proven track record.
