We are excited to be opening new locations and are building a strong team to bring the Fortuna experience to even more guests.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager oversees daily bakery operations, maintains service quality, and leads the team during their shift. This role supports both dining room and kitchen workflow, ensures hygiene and safety compliance, and handles customer-facing service needs. From assigning tasks to supervising preparation, managing opening and closing procedures, and supporting team training, the Manager plays a central role in delivering an efficient, organized, and welcoming environment.
This position reports directly to the bakery’s leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations in the dining room and kitchen
- Direct, support, and assign tasks to staff members
- Ensure excellent customer service and a clean, organized workspace
- Supervise product preparation, inventory, and display case stocking
- Maintain hygiene and food safety compliance
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash registers and equipment
- Coordinate communication between kitchen and dining room
- Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently
- Verify proper use of supplies to reduce waste
- Complete daily reports, incident reports, and shift documentation
- Support onboarding and training of new staff while reinforcing standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1+ years of prior leadership experience in restaurants, bakeries, or retail
- Working knowledge of dining room and/or kitchen operations
- Ability to manage shifts, delegate tasks, and supervise staff
- Excellent customer service and professionalism under pressure
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Organized, responsible, and consistently punctual
- Weekend and flexible availability
- Knowledge of hygiene and food-handling standards
- Problem-solving and quick decision-making abilities
- Basic inventory management and equipment/POS familiarity
Preferred Qualifications

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience in bakery-specific operational workflows
- Familiarity with oven and pastry equipment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Wage: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience and achievement
Schedule: Full-time hours
