POSITION SUMMARY:
Scenic Stays is seeking a dynamic General Manager / Community Association Manager (CAM) to lead day-to-day operations for one of our premier resort or condominium properties. This hybrid role blends the strategic oversight of vacation rental management with the administrative and community-focused responsibilities of association management.
Reporting to the Regional Director, this leader will oversee all aspects of community operations, guest services, rental management, property maintenance, team performance, and financial success. The ideal candidate brings a strong hospitality background, deep familiarity with Florida association laws, and a passion for creating positive guest and resident experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Operations & Association Management
- Manage community operations in alignment with governing documents, Florida statutes, and board policies.
- Maintain common areas and amenities, ensuring consistent upkeep.
- Enforce community rules fairly and professionally.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the board, homeowners, and vendors.
- Prepare for and attend board meetings, providing regular updates and management reports.
Rental & Resort Management
- Oversee the onsite Scenic Stays rental program, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance operations.
- Ensure all vacation rentals meet cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic standards.
- Supervise guest check-ins, check-outs, and handle service recovery as needed.
- Partner with the Marketing and Revenue teams to maximize occupancy and guest retention.
Financial Oversight
- Manage budgets for both the association and rental operations.
- Monitor financial performance, including expenses, collections, and reserve planning.
- Recommend and implement cost-saving strategies.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts and performance.
- Ensure vendor compliance with contractual obligations.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, train, and motivate a diverse onsite team including maintenance, housekeeping, and administrative staff.
- Foster a high-performance, hospitality-driven culture.
Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate records for association operations, meetings, contracts, and communications.
- Ensure compliance with Florida CAM regulations and filing requirements.
Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with owners, HOA board members, and local partners to promote a cohesive and well-managed community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in resort, hotel, or short-term rental management
- Active Florida CAM license required
- Strong understanding of Florida HOA/COA laws and community association operations
- Proven team leadership and staff development experience
- Excellent customer service and guest relations skills
- Proficiency with PMS, reservation systems, and operational tech
- Solid financial management skills including budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $90,000 - $95,000
