POSITION SUMMARY:
Atlantic Vacation Homes is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Gloucester, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general home repairs, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. In this role, you will complete assigned work orders, diagnose and execute repairs, and support ongoing preventative maintenance efforts.
Success in this position requires effective time management, the ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact, and clear, consistent communication with the maintenance team, operations staff, and leadership regarding work order status, repair recommendations or recurring issues, and coordination with licensed vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders, repairs, and small improvement projects in a timely, high-quality manner.
- Diagnose problems, determine the right solution, and execute repairs or coordinate with approved vendors when necessary.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency, guest stays, safety concerns, and operational impact.
- Support preventative maintenance efforts, including seasonal prep, routine inspections, and annual checklists.
- Respond to in-stay or emergency calls with urgency and professionalism; participate in the on-call rotation.
- Document work performed, materials used, and time spent in the company work-order system.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure reliability and safe use.
- Help monitor material and supply levels and notify the team when inventory needs replenishment.
- Assist with major weather response, storm prep, and cleanup when needed.
- Follow safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines and hazard awareness, to ensure a safe work environment for yourself, teammates, guests, and vendors.
- Represent Atlantic Vacation Homes positively during site visits and guest interactions — professionalism matters on and off the property.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year year of experience in a maintenance role preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be extremely detailed with outstanding communication skills.
- Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
- Must have a valid Driver License.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, afternoons and on-call hours as required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $27.00

Schedule
Full Time, 40 Hours per week. The ability to work some weekends is required.
