Your Role on Our Team: 

As the Housekeeping Manager at Palazzo Lakeside Hotel, your role involves supervising the housekeeping department to maintain efficient operations. Your responsibilities include upholding impeccable cleanliness standards and creating an inviting atmosphere while strictly following health and sanitation standards. You will use your skills to perform administrative tasks like scheduling, inspecting the quality of your team's cleans, and working closely with the Front Desk to ensure all housekeeping requests are resolved quickly and professionally. We’ll also rely on you to devise and implement processes and checklists to improve the housekeeping team's performance and be continually looking for ways to enhance our guests' experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee housekeeping staff to ensure compliance with the hotel's uniforms and personal hygiene policies and manage staffing needs, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions as necessary. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and recreational facilities to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards. 
  • Coordinate with the Front Desk to stay informed on room occupancy, special requirements, VIP guests, and other operational needs, ensuring all pertinent information is acted upon. 
  • Issue and manage keys, room lists, and cleaning schedules at shift start; collect and review them at shift end to maintain security and standards. 
  • Oversee maintenance issues in rooms, public areas, and laundry, and ensure all housekeeping services meet or exceed company standards for guest service and decor. 
  • Maintain necessary linens, amenities, and stationery stock levels to support consistent quality and service standards. 
  • Develop and implement checklists for preventative maintenance and regular cleaning/upkeep, and conduct training sessions to ensure staff competence and compliance with local and company regulations regarding hygiene and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior managerial experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar role is preferred
  • Able to lead, train, and manage your team effectively, including conducting interviews, training sessions, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions. 
  • Excellent team player able to collaborate across multiple departments, such as the Front Desk and the Maintenance Department. 
  • Strong eye for cleanliness, organization, and maintenance to ensure all areas meet hotel standards. 
  • Able to think on your feet, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to guest services, cleanliness, and maintenance. 
  • Able to track and manage stock levels of linen, stationary, and amenities to avoid shortages and ensure continuous operation. 
  • Familiar with local and company-specific hygiene, health, and safety regulations to ensure compliance and protect guest and staff well-being is preferred with a strong willingness to learn. 
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff, management, and guests, including conducting meetings and training sessions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $46,800 - $49,400 based on experience and achievement
