POSITION SUMMARY:

If you’re a local, you know Orlando isn’t just about theme parks and tourists – it’s about welcoming guests from around the world to our vibrant community. At TechFix Maintenance Services (a part of the Blue Gems Group family), we're looking for a Maintenance Technician who knows their way around home maintenance and systems and is willing to commit to ensuring our properties are always in tip-top shape to do just that. 

In this role, your day will start with a quick catch-up on the tasks that must be addressed. From there, it's all you. Your to-do list might range from routine inspections and maintenance to ensuring everything's safe and up to par for our guests and residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair and Maintenance: Execute repairs on a wide range of property systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry. Address issues promptly to maintain the property's functionality. 
  • Inspections: Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports to supervisors. 
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to extend the life of equipment and systems, prevent breakdowns, and minimize disruption to occupants. 
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with team members to find innovative fixes. 
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards, building codes, and regulations. Report any safety concerns to supervisors. 
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with property managers, team members, and, when necessary, property occupants to provide updates on maintenance activities and coordinate access. 
  • Documentation: Accurately document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for further action.
  • Equipment and Tool Management: Properly use, maintain, and store tools, equipment, and materials. Report any equipment in need of repair or replacement. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in property maintenance or related fields.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance tasks and carpentry. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair common residential maintenance issues. 
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and work efficiently in various environments. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance is a plus. 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Wage: $25.00 - $35.00 based on experience and achievement

Bonus: Quarterly bonuses are awarded based on performance and attendance 

Benefits: 

  • Paid time off, such as PTO, sick days, and vacation days 
  • $200 monthly fuel allowance 

Schedule: Must be willing to work Monday through Friday during regular business hours with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
